Back to the future
The film was made in during the 1980’s,it uses a lot of camera work to tell the story in more detail for example: the camera man uses a large variety of close ups and mediums shot, he does this often throughout the film to show the expressions on the characters faces. Another technique of using a close up is that you can pick out the key features of the film such as the time machine car. In this case the close ups are extremely important for the characters facial reactions, in this particular film many things go wrong with the main character, and by using close ups of his face we can tell what’s wrong.

Forrest Gump
In this scene the camera man uses a lot of panning camera work, the effect of this is we can see across the scene and see what’s happening around. The scene also uses a point of view shot when the two characters are sitting and eating their lunch, the main effect of this is we can see the main facial expression of each character, in this case we can tell the main character is feeling upset because we can tell from his facial expression. I prefer the camera work from back to the future, this is because it is more action packed due to the close ups of the film, it feels as if we are in the film and we know what’s happening throughout, the close ups also bring out more facial expressions this way we can see what the characters is feeling.

The first known projected sound films took place in the 1900s in Paris. Back in the 1900s the recording and quality of the sound wasn’t very clear. From the 1920s “taking pictures” was used these were films incorporated with dialogues. As the years progressed sound on disk was introduced and the first film to use this was the jazz singer. Some large theatres even had large orchestras to play along with the movie until developed sound was introduced.

Film development
First of all a film idea is produced, then they start to develop and promote the idea. A studio investor buys the rights for the film. People are bought for the production of the film this may include a screenwriter, producer, director, cast and crew. The film is then shot and sent to the studio where it is then edited. The studio starts to write up a licensing agreement with the distribution company. The film is then sold to certain cinemas where it is viewed. The film is sent to the cinemas a few days before the release of the movie. Many marketing schemes may be used also to promote the film such as toys with fast food meals and special cereals. The customer buys a ticket and then watches the film.

The film poster attracts its target audience from its bright colours and with its fire image. The main target audience of the film is male teenagers aged between 14 and 18. The trailer was initially attached to the film night at the museum. Even when the film was released as a play station game there were many promotions at large stores such as toys r us. They gave away free toys with the game of the “thing” one of the characters in the film.

The film poster above is for batman the dark knight. The main target audience for this film is young/middle-aged men; the genre is action/thriller. The film poster also suggests the film is set in a very gloomy and dull place as the building behind are dark. Also the weather is very dull and this shows it could be set mostly at night or at gloomy times.
The red/orange batman logo could suggest anger and rage in the film, we know this as red is often connoted as violence and blood and orange with fire. The logo is above batman this could be a slight halo on top of the character this means this character wants to seek revenge. The main title also has a slight glow around the title this could suggest his importance in the film and he is quite powerful compared to the rest as he has special powers.

The next film poster is blood diamond. The main target for this film is young/middle-aged men the genre of the film is based on a true story and involves a lot of action. We can tell as the poster contains fire in the background and by the expressions on the characters faces. The fire could again represent rage in the film and the expressions on the characters faces suggest they are in trouble or need to help someone.
The claws represent death and danger. The colours of the poster connote violence and war we know this as the main colour is orange/red this represents blood.

The film poster I prefer is batman dark knight. The reason for this is it shows clearly what the story could be about; the film poster could represent revenge on an evil character in the film. It also shows its setting in a dark gloomy place which could also represent action throughout the film

Many TV advertisements mislead its audience by promoting its product using false descriptions about it, this makes the target audience go out and buy products that they think are good but in reality they are completely opposite. This also makes the media organization dominant , it is also becoming more popular as it is more interactive so different users can watch the news, you can find it on mobiles , computer ,i pads and many more. This means the issues that are raised is that the tv new is losing its target audience as it is lost by other forms of news. Many media companies use power to promote their products .also the media makes new stories seem bigger than they actually are and it is often say that the media exaggerates the news to target them and interest the audience
