Advert analysis

Advert analysis

In this essay I will be commenting on the different media techniques used in the advertisement above. I will be analysing the media language and representation of this particular advert.
In the advert above it is showing Sachin Tendulkar playing a particular shot and has the bat pointing towards use. This is known as direct address as it is focusing on the primary target audience. By having this particular camera angle it is focusing more on us as the audience as it catches our eye effectively. The advert uses a range of colour to attract a young target audience who prefer the sport of cricket; the editor has faded in the bright colours. Many bright colours connote happiness and success, the darker colour Black connotes power and individuality also it can be known for seriousness. This stands out from the rest so the message inside can be seen easily and with a high importance.
The main picture of Sachin Tendulkar has been used to promote Adidas because of his high importance around India and the rest of the world. People across the globe look up to him and think of him as God. The picture is framed to the left side of the screen as it is being faded with darker colours. The type of camera shot is a medium shot the advantage of this is that u can see the whole body and focus on the main body expressions. Sachin Tendulkar’s pose in the photo looks to be very solid and stable this could also be linked with the message that goes with the advert.
This advert has a positive impact on its target audience as it is encouraging them to do well and succeed. Its primary audience may be focussed on teenagers aged around 14-18 this is because many teenagers give up easily and get involved with other anti social activities.
